How Long Can You Stay Off-Grid? — Black Series Solar & Battery Calculator

Every Black Series ships with serious factory power — but how long will it actually run YOUR gear off-grid? Pick your model and trim, check the appliances you'd run, and see your estimated days of autonomy — including whether the rooftop solar keeps up indefinitely.

What's behind the numbers

Every Black Series carries a factory lithium-class power system: a 400Ah battery bank on the HQ15 through HQ21 Balcony (200Ah on the HQ12, TH19, and TH22) and 600W of rooftop solar standard — doubled to 1,200W on the Yellow Stone and Rocky Mountain trims. The calculator assumes 80% usable battery capacity and 75% real-world solar harvest (controller efficiency, panel temperature, sun angle), the same conservative math we use when helping buyers plan extended off-grid trips.

Planning a bigger system?

If your usage runs past what the factory system covers, our parts store stocks the full Victron Energy ecosystem — batteries, MPPT controllers, inverters, and monitoring — with a component-level sizing calculator at RV Parts Giant.
