Why Denali buyers get caught out
The Sierra Denali Ultimate and AT4X are the trucks most likely to be parked next to a Black Series, and they are also the configurations with the least payload. A 10,000-lb trailer loaded for a trip puts 1,000 to 1,300 lb on the hitch. If the door label says 1,600 lb, a family of four and a weekend's gear already puts the truck over. That is not a towing problem; it is a carrying problem, and no aftermarket airbag fixes it. The HQ12 and HQ15, at 7,500 and 7,000 lb GVWR, are the models that leave real margin on a loaded Denali.
