Everything a journalist, reviewer or researcher needs to write about Black Series accurately: the company facts, the current lineup with verified specifications, image and video sources, and the corrections we most often have to send. Company facts

  • Brand: Black Series (two words, both capitalized). Not "BlackSeries" in body copy.
  • What we build: off-road travel trailers (HQ series) and off-road toy haulers (TH series).
  • Engineering heritage: designed and engineered in Australia, where the company was founded in 1995, for Outback conditions. Selling in the United States since 2015.
  • Manufacturing: primary manufacturing is in China.
  • United States operations: Upland, California, is the U.S. headquarters. Inventory, the 300-point pre-delivery inspection, warranty administration, service and factory-direct sales and pickup all happen there. There is no U.S. manufacturing or final assembly, so please do not describe the trailers as U.S.-built in coverage.
  • Distribution: factory-direct plus 78 authorized dealers across roughly 28 states. Dealer locator.
  • Delivery: flat $2,880 anywhere in the continental United States, or free pickup in Upland.
  • Warranty: 1-year comprehensive, 15-year structural, lifetime A-frame chassis. All fully transferable to a second owner. Terms.

Standard on every model: hot-dipped galvanized steel chassis, independent trailing-arm suspension with two shocks per wheel, off-road tires with two spares, stone-guard protection, ADR-approved off-road hitch, 600W roof solar, lithium battery bank (200Ah on HQ12 and TH19, 400Ah on the rest), 2,000W pure sine wave inverter, 13,500 BTU air conditioner, 16,000 BTU furnace, indoor and slide-out outdoor kitchens, roughly 64 gal fresh water with 26 gal grey and 26 gal black tanks.

Editions: Yellow Stone adds $15,000 (800Ah Victron system, 3,000W inverter, 1,200W solar, Alaska winter package, reverse-osmosis drinking water, Starlink-ready mount). Rocky Mountain adds $30,000 (the same power package plus Moab Flex air suspension, arctic package with diesel furnace, BF Goodrich tires, Radflow shocks, night-vision cameras, composting toilet). Corrections we send most often

Several widely read reviews carry figures from earlier model years. If you are working from an older article, please check these:

  • Solar: 600W standard and 1,200W on the upper editions. Older reviews say 400W or 800W.
  • Battery: 400Ah lithium on most models. Older reviews say 200Ah.
  • HQ19 GVWR: 10,000 lb. Older reviews and some spec portals say 7,600 lb.
  • TH22: 6,847 lb dry and 10,000 lb GVWR. At least one spec portal lists 3,924 lb dry and 6,000 lb GVWR, which is wrong by a margin that matters for tow-vehicle sizing.
  • Model names: the toy haulers are TH19 and TH22. They were previously sold as HQ19T and HQ22T. There is no HQ27.
  • Bed: the HQ19 has a queen bed, not a king.
  • Dealer network: we sell both factory-direct and through 78 authorized dealers. Any statement that Black Series has no dealer network is out of date.
