HQ21 Balcony questions, answered
How much does the HQ21 Balcony cost? The HQ21 Balcony starts at $69,899 for the Base edition. Yellow Stone adds $15,000 and Rocky Mountain adds $30,000. Delivery is a flat $2,880 in the continental U.S., or free pickup in Upland, California.
How much does the HQ21 Balcony weigh, and how long is it? 7,247 lb dry with a 10,000 lb GVWR, 21 ft of interior and about 27 ft overall.
What truck do I need to tow it? A three-quarter-ton pickup. It is the heaviest travel trailer in the lineup, so a half-ton is a calculated choice rather than a relaxed one. Check your truck.
What does the balcony do? The side of the trailer folds down into an outdoor deck with railings, turning the campsite into an extra room. The Balcony also adds a bunk, dual TVs, and an upgraded indoor/outdoor stereo over the standard HQ21.
How long can it run off-grid? 600W of solar, a 400Ah battery bank, and a 2,000W inverter come standard; Yellow Stone and Rocky Mountain move to 1,200W solar and an 800Ah Victron system. Estimate your days of autonomy.
